A scanned PDF can look like text while containing only an image. This sample begins without selectable text.
Run searchable text, or O C R, on the selected page. Choose the document language. Page Desk uses its local recognition engine.
After recognition, search for a word from the page. Here, Contractor can now be found in the document.
Save a searchable PDF and reopen it. Search again to verify the text was retained. Always review recognition for errors.
